Cabo San Lucas Real Estate Information

When I think of Cabo San Lucas I remember my first trip there in the late 60’s, I air hitched with some guys from San Diego in a private plane, that landed across from the old Cabo San Lucas hotel. They were bringing down supplies to some of the first American’s living in Cabo San Lucas. I asked no questions and had a free ride. Well it helped to be a hot young co-ed, don’t think I could get a free ride now.

There was not much there then, little pinch of the original Solmar hotel and a little cliff hanger rooms of Finesterra and the old El Camino real hotel, no Harbor, and a smelly Tuna factory.

The old town Church and a bakery, Rafael’s by the Sea, a disco and Alfonso Fischer’s trailer park for campers.

Those were the days of the Back Dog Taco’s!

I started crocheting bikini’s on the beach in Cabo San Lucas on my trip down there in 1974 after I graduated from College, things were starting to change in the 70’s, but I moved to Hawaii and did not make it back till the early 90’s.

The lure of a relaxed lifestyle in warm, friendly and picturesque surroundings has many people returning to Los Cabos, the fishing, the diving and just the great fun to be had it a huge call to the Americans north of the border.

The economy is dependent on all the travelers and they know how to treat you special so you want to return again and again, till it becomes your second home.

Well that is where I came in, International Realtor sharing my new home in Cabo San Lucas, a little ocean front condo in Terrasol Beach Resort on the Pacific side was just was the ticket for all my snow bird friends.

I brought them down from Utah and Colorado, from California, and Oregon and Washington, and even Idaho and New York and Boston!

Country western singers and owners of Football team and there girl friends all came to Cabo, you could walk down to the pool at terrasol on Sammy Hagar’s birthday weekend in October and run into all kinds of Rock and roll stars.

Even Oscar del La Hoya bought in Terrasol Condominiums and the tequila was flowing.

We could not wait to get there every month to just do business and have fun with all our friends and clients.

Realtor hat on..

Be it an ocean view home, condominium or a remote and rustic rancho, all are available here, some at very reasonable prices. Los Cabos has boomed with hotel and residential construction over the last 15 years. Choice oceanfront property, while available, is not as affordable or as easy to come by as it once was in the late days of the early 90’s.

Condominium resorts are more prolific but in reality the total number of full ownership ocean front condos like Terrasol Beach or Misiones del Cabo is in the very short supply. Choosing the area and type of dwelling best suited to you will depend on your lifestyle and the money you have to invest.

I work exclusively by Buyer Broker contract with buyers for Cabo San Lucas and if you need consulting from an investor in Cabo, I wear that hat too. If I can not help you I will get you to a Realtor who can who I know can good the job.

"For sale" signs are everywhere and Real Estate office pop up everywhere in good times and close down in bad times, so take your time and do your research and call me if I can help.

Frequently asked questions about the process of the offer and acceptance and the earnest money deposits and transfer of ownership procedures and tax obligations can all be answered well in advance of any money going hard.

Many real estate brokers in Los Cabos are members of the Association of Mexican Real Estate Professionals (AMPI), affiliated with similar associations in Canada, the U.S.A. and the International Real Estate Association. Los Cabos also has a strong Multi List Association with around thirty members, all committed to ensuring fair and consistent operating policies. The MultiList Los Cabos Association can also be found on the Internet at www.loscabosMLS.com, affording prospective buyers a searchable database of properties and links to member's websites.
